  12. Installation Instructions:
  13.  
  14. 1.) If it is not uncompressed already, uncompress 'Scraps' using Compact Pro.
  15.  
  16. 2.) To start 'Scraps', double click the application called 'Start Scraps!'.
  17.  
  18. 3.) A password window will pop up.  Enter the password 'RJBEST' (in all caps) and press
  19.      enter.  You should be allowed access.  If not, carefully try again making sure you are 
  20.        typing the password exactly as specified.

  22. 4.) The main menu will appear next.  You might want to click on the 'Help Me' button  
  23.      first and review the help section.  It will provide you with a brief overview of 
  24.      'Scraps'.

  28. Overview of  Scraps features:
  29.    • Add photos and even audio at the click of a button.
  30.    • Auto date &  time entry.
  31.    • Auto start-up to force you to write at least a sentence every day.
  32.    • Use on any system! Macs or PCs.
  33.    • Spell checker (so you can get Aunt Ezmeralda’s name right every time).
  34.    • Typeface, style  and colors of text can be changed to personalize your diary.
  35.    • Password protection --  to keep prying eyes out.
  36.    • Powerful search screen lets you scan through thousands of pages to find specific dates, words, 
  37.       phrases.  Note: this feature is locked until registered.
  38.    • Automatic ‘save-as-you-type’ so you’ll never lose a word.
  39.    • Automatic sort by date, so your diary can be as organized as your life.
  40.    • On-line Help lets you get quick answers to questions you have.

  46. Why should I register?
  47. The unregistered version of Scraps comes with some features locked, including the ‘find’ screen which lets you search quickly through every word you’ve ever entered, and the ‘audio’ record button which lets you play sound, music, and audio but not record any of your own.  Once your resgistration fee is received, you will promptly be sent a password which will unlock all features and pages.  Besides that, you’ll also receive:

  50.    • Customer service access (including password help in case you ever forget your password).
  51.    • Updates of future versions  (we’re working on some exciting ones, too).

  55. Registration costs only $19.95 and is quickly processed once received by us (we’ll even send you your new password by email if you request it).  Please send your registration fee in check or money order to the address below, and make sure you include your return address.
